AMS Ambulance
AMS Ambulance offers emergency and non-emergency advanced life support transportation, as well as transportation involving basic life support. We are trained, licensed, insured and equipped to transport patients to any destination in the United States.
ALS (Advanced Life Support): ALS service is readily available for transportation of burn patients, ER admissions, patients with intravenous drug therapy or patients needing constant heart monitoring.
BLS (Basic Life Support): Customers can reserve this type of transport for pre-scheduled doctor’s appointments, dialysis patients, hospital discharges and radiation or chemotherapy patients.
24 Hour Operation
Because no one can never predict an incident, AMS provides 24 hour coverage seven days a week.
Billing
AMS can bill directly to Medicare, Medicaid, private pay and dozens of other third-party insurance companies. We also work with customers on payment plans and can set up individualized billing schedules. Our billing department has extensive experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing and is proficient with ICD9 coding.
Evacuation planning
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control requires that all health care facilities in South Carolina have an evacuation plan in place in case of natural disasters, fire, etc. AMS has the staff and the equipment to provide facilities in the area with this service. We are capable of deploying resources to a facility in a timely manner in situations that require emergency evacuation. We also have immediate access to a twenty-passenger bus for customers who are able to sit without needing special care.
