Agapé Related Services

Agapé Senior began as an assisted living facility in 1999.  Today, Agapé Senior is comprised of a variety of coordinated and interrelated services designed to meet the needs of our residents as well as seniors in local communities.  The supporting services at Agapé Senior were born out of the realization that many senior-related service providers with whom Agapé Senior conducted business were incapable of meeting the needs and standards of Agapé Senior on an ongoing basis.   Each service that has been created under the Agapé umbrella has joined the comprehensive effort to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our residents.

Agapé Senior proudly provides the following senior health services:

Agapé Medical Mart (Opened January 2002):

Agapé Medical Mart was established to provide medical supplies and durable medical equipment to the residents and patients of Agapé Senior.  Over the years, it has expanded to provide these services to the public through three retail outlets located in West Columbia, Rock Hill, and Indian Land.

Agapé Management Services (Created August 2003):

Agapé Management Services provides management and accounting services to all Agapé entities.  Through the management company, we are able to provide Medicare billing support, general accounting services, IT and telecommunications services, group insurance plans, human resource oversight, corporate compliance, and budgetary accountability.  Agapé Management Services is a full service management company for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Our plans are to continue to pursue management contracts for additional properties. Many of our senior management’s experience are also in the non-profit arena.

Agapé Pharmacy (Opened May 2004):

Agapé Pharmacy, Inc. has grown from only providing medications to the residents of the Agapé Senior communities to now having its own freestanding retail pharmacy.  Located in Cayce SC, the pharmacy continues to provide medications to the residents and patients of Agapé Senior, but now is serving other senior-care facilities and is also open to the public.

Agapé Senior Foundation (Created 2004):

The Agapé Senior Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2004 to support the ministries of Agapé Senior through education and fundraising.  The foundation also provides assistance to our senior residents whose financial resources may not allow them to remain under our care.

Agapé Therapy (Created June 2004):

Agapé Therapy provides physical, speech, and occupational therapy services, both in-patient and out-patient, to the residents and patients of Agapé Senior.  Out-patient therapy services are also available to the public.

GMM Insurance (Opened December 2005):

Based in West Columbia, GMM Insurance serves Agapé Senior statewide in addition to being the full-service insurance agency for many residents and businesses in the Greater Columbia area.  Plans are to open new offices and expand its services across the state.

Agapé Medical Service (AMS) Ambulance (Opened March 2006):

AMS Ambulance is a Medicare/Medicaid Certified ambulance company.  Their team of professionals provides basic and advanced life support transports for residents and patients of Agapé Senior, other facilities, and major hospitals.

Agapé Senior Primary and Palliative Care (Opened August 2006):

Agapé Senior Primary and Palliative Care began as a primary care physician’s practice only offering services to the residents and patients of Agapé Senior.  Today, its team of physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners offer primary care services to the public at four freestanding physician offices in West Columbia, Rock Hill, Bennettsville, and Conway.

EXIT Agapé Real Estate Services (Opened November 2006):

Part of the EXIT franchise of real estate companies, EXIT Agapé focuses on housing and real estate needs of those in the senior community and the public.  Located in West Columbia, but with agents around the state, EXIT Agapé is a full-service real estate company for buyers and sellers.

24/7 Health and Fitness Center (Opened December 2009):

To promote health and fitness with their staff and the greater community, Agapé Senior opened a 24 hour, 7 day a week fitness center.  Now with three locations in Columbia, West Columbia, and Indian Land, the gym offers a full array of strength training, cardiovascular equipment, and classes.  All centers off a secure environment with member-only access.

Good Life Café (Opened February 2011):

Good Life Café is another example of Agapé Senior’s commitment to promoting healthy eating and lifestyles in the community.  The café, open to the public, is one of the few organic, raw, and vegan restaurants in the Greater Columbia area.  Good Life Café also serves fresh juices and smoothies.  This very popular restaurant is already making plans for expanding into additional markets.

Agapé Health and Wellness Studio (Opened June 2011):

A unique health and wellness center located at the entrance to Sun City—Carolina Lakes serving that community’s residents and those of the Indian Land SC area just south of Charlotte.  The studio is a one-stop center to help its users stay fit, active, and maintain their way of life.  Services include Agapé Therapy, Agapé Medical Mart retail outlet, 24/7 Health and Fitness Center, and other services like massage therapy.

Agapé Again - Resale and Consignment (Opened September 2011):

A one-of-a-kind shopping experience, Agapé Again was opened for two reasons.  One, to provide an outlet for residents of Agapé communities, their families, and local residents to consign or donate unneeded items as they downsize.  Second, to privide another fundraising mechanism for the Agapé Senior Foundation.  Located in West Columbia, the shop offers unique gift items and gently used household items from lamps, to jewelry.

Agapé @ Home (Opened November 2011):
