Suzanne Tarrant

Chief Performance Officer

Suzanne  TarrantSuzanne has over twenty years of experience in marketing and management of continuing care retirement communities. Her operational experience continues to spearhead the growth and development of Agapé Senior services throughout the state. Suzanne is uniquely qualified to serve as CPO, having served as administrator for most of the Agapé Senior assisted living facilities throughout the state. Suzanne brings invaluable knowledge of the senior-care industry to the table. In her role, she has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the standards of Agapé Senior including the highest census and profit ratios for the facilities. She truly understands the importance of delivering outstanding service and care for the residents.

Dr. James C. Williamson

Chief Human Capital Officer

james-williamsonDr. James C. “Jimmie” Williamson worked in various aspects of higher education for 26 years, having most recently served as President of Northeastern Technical College. Dr. Williamson has extensive experience in higher education, having served as faculty member or administrator at four community colleges and three universities in South Carolina.

In addition to his serving as President of Northeastern Technical College, Dr. Williamson also served as President of Williamsburg Technical College. He has co-authored a textbook for under-prepared college students, has been published in the Community College Review and has received the South Carolina Governor’s Award for Two-Year College Educational Champion of the Year. Dr. Williamson’s doctoral thesis focused on gerontology, specifically on the reasons why an increasing number of older adults decided to return to college.

Dr. Williamson now serves as Chief Human Capital Officer overseeing human resources and staff development for all of of Agapé Senior. His years of managerial experience and creative leadership in higher education are guiding the development of Agapé University, which provides education, training, and professional development for the entire Agape Senior workforce. This innovative way to train our staff, including our state-wide CNA apprenticeship programs, has earned Agapé Senior reconition and awards across the region.

Theresa Younis

Chief Operating Officer

Theresa is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She is also licensed as an administrator in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, with over twenty years of experience. Theresa has served as an expert witness for many attorneys defending nursing home litigations, and provides preventive and post-incident oversight and support.

Theresa uses her operational experience to provide oversight and strategic direction for Agapé Senior.  She continues also as a partner in Agapé Hospice Lowcountry operations headquartered in Ridgeland, SC and is currently providing leadership for the expansion of additional Agapé Senior services to the citizens of her region.

Danny E. Belk


President, Agapé Development

Dan is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all property and project development functions as well as overall direction of financial strategy for Agapé Senior companies. Mr. Belk is accountable for the fiscal viability of all Agapé entities and also provides guidance and oversight for ancillary operations. His extensive experience in finance, accounting, and facility operations provides Agapé Senior with a sure foundation of fiscal integrity.

 

Kevin McHugh


President of Agapé Hospice

Kevin McHugh's years of managerial experience and knowledge of the current nursing and hospice profession has enabled him to pioneer the development and exponential growth of Agapé Hospice throughout the State of South Carolina. He also serves on the Public Policy Committee for the Carolinas Center for End of Life Care. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Phoenix.

He also served in the United States Army from 1976 to 2003. There, he received many honors and awards, including The Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Kevin McHugh has worked in various aspects of the healthcare field for many years from hospital, clinic and prison nursing, to creating and then directing a college nursing program, to being an Instructor in a Masters in Nursing program. Kevin has also previously served as a Hospice RN, Compliance and Quality Improvement Director and Education Director, and Administrator and Executive Director for other large hospice programs.

Kevin later went on to start and grow his own hospice company, as well as directed the building, certification, staffing, and placement of nine Hospice Houses before coming to Agapé.
