AMS Ambulance was established in 2006 to provide medical transportation for residents of Agapé Senior. We offer 24/7 local and long distance transportation. We have the capabilities to transport any patient to any destination in the United States. Our team of professionals provides basic and advanced life support transports, critical care transports, dialysis transports and wheelchair transports for residents and patients of Agapé Senior, other facilities, and major hospitals.
Our ambulances are staffed with paramedics and emergency medical technicians that are DHEC certified. AMS is a Medicare/Medicaid Certified ambulance company.
Since AMS is locally owned and operated, we dispatch all of our units from our home office located in West Columbia. AMS has a dispatcher awaiting your call 24-hours a day to pleasantly and professionally address any of your concerns regarding your patient’s transport. Our dispatchers are able to quickly and accurately diagnose the best response for your patients’ needs. Each ambulance has two radios on board to ensure that communications between our dispatcher and our units are not compromised. Our ambulances are equipped with regulated supplies that will help us to better serve our patients, and every ambulance is staffed to meet all state and federal guidelines.
We offer direct billing for Medicare Part B, commercial insurance and private pay. For your convenience, we have in-house billing personnel when you have questions concerning payment.
AMS believes that training is a vital link in patient transportation and that to be proficient in our jobs, we need to keep skills honed. With monthly in-service training, this ensures all patients receive the best medical care possible. When you need expert transport care, Ask Agape.
AMS Ambulance is readily available for transportation of burn patients, ER admissions, patients with intravenous drug therapy or patients needing constant heart monitoring. AMS customers can also reserve transportation for pre-scheduled doctor’s appointments, dialysis, hospital discharges and radiation or chemotherapy treatments.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control requires that all health care facilities in South Carolina have an evacuation plan in place in case of natural disasters, fire, etc. AMS has the staff and the equipment to provide facilities in the area with this service. We are capable of deploying resources to a facility in a timely manner in situations that require emergency evacuation. We also have immediate access to a twenty-passenger bus for customers who are able to sit without needing special care.
